Pattern Review Pattern Name: Ada Peplum and Dress Pattern Type: Indie or Independent Pattern Cost: $12.00 Pattern Description: Fitted bodice, with a peplum with buttons along the sleeve, short and long sleeve options. This pattern also features a circle dress with pocket. Pattern Sizing: 2-28 Size that I Cut: 18, however, the circle skirt portion turned out to be an 18 but the bodice was drafted to be much larger and it did cause fitting issues. I did cut the extra fabric that I was able to cut but I forgot about the sleeve area, so once I attached the sleeve to the bodice, the bodice was very shifty and it was sliding off my shoulder because of the sizing, but I plan to fix it. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope? Yes Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that it is a fit and flare style of dress, I like the sleeve details which are: button plackets, buttons, long and short sleeve options, the option of making the button placket functional or non- functional (mine are non-functional), the scooped back and the pockets. Fabric Used: A cotton/wool blend Fabric Purchased: Joan Fabrics in 2017 or 2018 Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made? Instead of adding a basting stitch to pull in the fabric in easier to hem the circle skirt, I just serged the edges and folded it twice. Pattern Alterations that are suggested: Yes, check the length of the dress. I would recommend adding a few inches if you are tall or have a larger bust or butt that may pull the dress up higher. Did you do anything different/special to make this project? No Would you recommend it to others? Yes
