My First Ogden Cami!

I have finally made my very first Ogden Cami and I am in Love!!! I have been wanting to make this for a very long time but never got around to it. After I made my last sewing make, I wanted to keep sewing but make something simple so I decided to make the Ogden Cami! I paired the cami with my denim pair of shorts that I made two years ago in 2018 using Simplicity 8651. I have seen this on people for the longest and although it’s just a cami, it’s something different about this one... Whenever I see it on someone, I automatically know it’s the Ogden cami because it has its own look.... It’s just beautiful! This cami is my wearable muslin and I made it too big.... However, I will make adjustments to the straps so that it will fit better and not show so much under my arms and I will make my next one in a smaller size. Below you will find pictures and a pattern review of the Ogden Cami and you can also watch the full review on my YouTube channel by clicking here!

Pattern Review Pattern Name: Ogden Cami with wide straps Pattern Type: Independent- True Bias, PDF Pattern Cost: $12.00 Pattern Description: The Ogden Cami is a simple blouse that can be either worn on its own or as a layering piece under blazers or cardigans. It has a soft V neck at both the center front and center back necklines and ¾ inch wide straps. The neckline and armholes are finished with a partial lining for a beautiful, high end finish. Recommended Fabric: Lightweight woven fabrics such as silk, crepe, rayon challis, cotton lawn, cotton voile and lightweight linen. Pattern Sizing: 14-30, D Cup Size that I Cut: I cut an 18, which was too big and I knew that when I did it but I was trying to play safe. I will cut a smaller size very soon to compare. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope? Yes Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love how flowy it is, that it was designed with a D cup in mind and that it is partially lined. Fabric Purchased: Crepe fabric from Walmart for $4.00, Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made? I adjusted the straps by taking two inches off each side before I finished the project Pattern Alterations that are suggested: None Would I sew it again? Yes, yes and yes!!! Did you do anything different/special to make this project? No Would you recommend it to others? Yes! I absolutely love this and you will definitely be seeing more of these soon!
