Simplicity 8605
Hello! I am now back after giving birth to our new love!! He's absolutely adorable (I'm not just saying that because he's my son). He has also allowed me to get a little bit of sewing done during his nap time!
My first make since he has been born is Simplicity 8605. I love the style of the pants and wanted to make a full outfit for my birthday, which included these pants.

I wasn't able to complete the shirt but I will do that at a later time and come back to the blog with new pics. Anyway, considering my situation with time, I was pleased to have finished the pants.

I pared the pants with a tank top that I purchased from Walmart during my pregnancy so that I could have something to fit over my belly. The tank was only $2.97! I do not buy maternity clothes and I don't like to spend a lot of money on things that I will not use for very long so that price worked out well! On top of the price being a bonus, its my favorite animal print!

The only thing I would do different with this pattern is add length to the bottom by one or two inches (see below).

Although it came out exactly like the pattern cover, I prefer my pants a tad bit longer.
