McCall's 7891 Dress for my Son's College Graduation!

I am so excited to share that my oldest son graduated from college on this past Saturday!
As many already know, I am pregnant, which is why I haven't been doing much sewing, but I wanted to make something new and different for his ceremony.
I decided to make McCall's 7891 because this dress was already wide enough to where I would not have to make any adjustment to accommodate the size of my bump. I also like the top portion of the dress because even though the dress was not fitted, the top portion gave it some "trend".

I decided to make view C but I included the opening at the top.
The reason why I went for view C is because I like the sleeve caps and the straps.

I was so tickled at the graduation because I watched our son march in with the rest of the graduates and also watched him look up and he immediately spotted me and waved and I was pretty far up!
I later asked him how he knew that was me with all those people around and he said it was because of the fabric LOL.  I guess he knows his mama!!

Overall, I was very pleased with how this dress turned out!  It looked exactly the way I imagined it to look in my mind... along with my hair!

Thanks for stopping by and there will be more pictures below and a pattern review via YouTube (You can watch the video by clicking here)!
