Sorry about the late post! I posted this on Instagram on August 12th but didn't get a chance to post it on the blog so here it is!!
This here dress is what I wore to one of the Elegant Night dinners on the cruise. I wanted something that was going to be simple but yet classy and I think I nailed it.
It didn't take much time at all to make the dress. The most time consuming part of getting the dress made was that I had to spread the fabric out on the floor because the pattern pieces were too big to cut on a regular table top and no pieces were called to cut on the fold.
I received many complements and probably the most "likes" that I ever had on a post on Instagram.
One thing that I would do differently if I made the dress again would be to use a knit that does not roll because the seam from the contrast fabric is very noticeable due to rolling up. Even though you could see the seam, I still think it looked great.
I would also adjust the "V" so that I can close up my bust area.... I always forget to make that adjustment so my "girls" are always hanging out LOL.
