McCall's 7577 Vacation Outfit 2 of 5
This post is about the second garment that I made for vacation! We had to elegant night dinners and I made this one for the second elegant night ( I will be posting the first make once I get pictures). The group decided to wear white and to take a group picture. My younger sister was raving about how great her outfit was going to be so I told her that I was going to make sure that my outfit would be on the same level.... LOL I had a few options but I decided on the romper because I wanted to make it last year and never got around to it.
I was very proud of this garment and I did a very good job with how neat it is in the inside. What I like most about what I did is the lace overlay and the trim on the flounce (see below), the lace sleeves with trim on the raw edge and the lace back.
I used the same lace and trim for the sleeves.
The back was very nice. I wish I had not cut the ease slits because it was very noticeable. Had I not been wearing long hair, people would have seen them.
Overall, this was a very cute outfit. I don't think I would make it in the form of shorts again because it limits me to where I can wear it without looking silly or overly dressed. Below you will find a pattern review and more pics!!! Next will be my other elegant night garment!!
