Hello!! Welcome back to the blog!
Today's post is about the dress I made for Easter. I had the pattern cut out for months but never got around to making the dress.
The dress is New Look 6145. It is a simple shift dress with a wide collar.
I was drawn to the dress because of the collar.... it is different from the "norm".
The back of the collar is different too. I like the way it looks, however, I did not center it properly when sewing it down so the collar is not perfectly straight.
The pattern calls for an invisible zipper which was the only add-on to this pattern.
While making this, I did use my invisible zipper foot for the first time and I did not like it.
I get a much closer stitch using my regular zipper foot. Needless to say, I went over the stitch with my regular zipper foot to make sure that the zipper tape did not show.
Overall, this was a very easy pattern and great for a beginner as long as you know how to insert a zipper.
Please see the pattern review below and feel free to leave comments!!!
Until next time..... Love and Peace!
