My name is Talisha and I am wife, mother and a lover of the ARTS!! I enjoy designing, putting on events, making crafts, but my biggest passion right now is sewing!!
It all started when I wanted a dress but could not find it at any of the stores that I shop at. I thought to myself.... “I can make this!!!”
I personally believe that there is nothing that I cannot do as long as I put my mind to it and make it into a reality. My sewing (along with other things) is evidence that this is true!
Sewing has been such a satisfying hobby for me and it is also therapeutic.
When I finish a project, I look at it and say to myself, “I did that!”
It gives me a great sense of accomplishment and great styles at an affordable price!
Hello and welcome to the blog!
As everyone may know, the scare of health is real around the world right now! The threat of the Corona virus has shaken the whole world!

Today's post is all about this gorgeous dress that I made using McCall's pattern number 7683 (you can find it here).
I made this dress because my husband and I were invited to the 100 Black Men Gala here in our city.
Of course I will use any excuse to make something glamorous and this was no exception!
Hello and welcome back!!
About two posts ago I made a denim pair of pants using Simplicity 8605.
I liked the pants so much that I made another pair and I usually do not make the same pattern view twice!
I used patchwork denim that I purchased from Joan Fabrics and the colors are perfect for Fall!!
Hello! I am now back after giving birth to our new love!! He's absolutely adorable (I'm not just saying that because he's my son). He has also allowed me to get a little bit of sewing done during his nap time!
My first make since he has been born is Simplicity 8605. I love the style of the pants and wanted to...
Hello and welcome back! I am so excited to share this dress that I made because of the story behind it! My family and I recently came back from vacation. Every year we all take a cruise, and on the cruise we all have the same dining time so that we can sit and talk to each other about our experiences either on or off the...
I am so excited to share that my oldest son graduated from college on this past Saturday!
As many already know, I am pregnant, which is why I haven't been doing much sewing, but I wanted to make something new and different for his ceremony.
I decided to make McCall's 7891 because this dress was already wide enough to wher...
So sorry for the late post.... That kind of sounds redundant as I have been saying that for the last three months LOL... I predict that I will continue to say that until my schedule slows down but I will try to do my best to keep up.
Anyway, this is an exciting post. At times, I make clothing that goes with...
